Miniature art is known as fine art on a small scale, and miniature paintings are considered “gems of the art world.”

The miniature artist experiences an intimacy with the painting unlike any other genre. I love painting in the minute detail of traditional miniature art. However, I also enjoy experimenting with freer non-traditional techniques and surfaces which fall into the category of contemporary miniature art or small works.

My art has always been influenced by my love of nature, all matters of flora and fauna, and the feel of connectedness through nature’s beauty, the air, the elements, and the atmosphere. I aim to capture in my paintings the moment a subject initially inspired me. Whether painting in traditional or non-traditional miniature methods, reality is the foundation for my work as my eyes have seen it and/or my soul has felt it.
